The PPMS (Physical Properties Measurement System) - 9T is an automated system for measuring the physical properties of materials. Specifically, it allows for the measurement of transport properties, including:
Electrical resistivity
Hall effect
Magnetoresistance
Thermal conductivity
Seebeck effect
Nernst effect
The PPMS - 9T is equipped with a liquid helium cryostat, which allows measurements in the temperature range of 2K to 400K, and contains a superconducting magnet capable of applying an external magnetic field up to (+/-) 9T.
